Dozens of North-West coasters gathered at Prem’s Seafood Bar and Grill in Devonport this Christmas Eve, where owner Prema Smith well and truly fulfilled his promise to spread some festive cheer.
Embracing the spirit of giving, Smith stood outside his restaurant from 5pm on Sunday, offering free fish & chips and prawns to anyone in need of a warm meal or a touch of holiday joy.

As previously reported by Pulse, Smith’s gesture of kindness comes at a time when many in the community face financial challenges and loneliness during the holiday season, with City Mission saying the demand for assistance is ‘through the roof’ in Tasmania this Christmas.
As a father of three, Smith said he’s happy he can support the community that has supported him.
