A southern Tasmanian couple is still coming to terms with their life-changing $2 million win from Saturday’s TattsLotto draw, planning to share their newfound fortune with family.
The Claremont residents held one of five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4607, drawn on September 13, with each winner claiming $2 million.
“Oh my god! You’re not joking, are you?!” the winning husband questioned when contacted by an official from The Lott.
“This is not a scam? You have to read out the winning numbers for me! Oh wow! It’s a real shock.”

The grandparents, who purchased their winning ticket from Claremont Lucky Lotto & TSG Tobacconist, immediately decided they would share their win with loved ones.
“We will share with the family and our grandchildren,” the husband shared.

“Thank you very much! We can’t wait to tell our children.”
“We’re absolutely over the moon. We will be in complete disbelief all day.”
The couple’s win adds to Tasmania’s impressive lottery streak, with the state recording 13 major lottery wins to date this year, totalling over $85 million.
Meanwhile, lottery officials are still searching for a Launceston player who secured $2.5 million in TattsLotto draw 4605, drawn on September 6.
The winning numbers in Saturday’s draw were 31, 13, 18, 15, 2 and 40, with supplementary numbers 36 and 26.
