A council spokesperson said the large spill “originated from a vehicle”.

“Our civil team are on the scene, working hard to place warning signs and clean up as much as possible,” they said.

“However, the extent of the spill makes it difficult to clear immediately.”

Police are informed about the situation and are monitoring the affected areas, council said.
