The Tasmania JackJumpers have parted ways with import guard Craig Sword midway through the 2024/25 NBL season.
Sword joined the JackJumpers in August for the current campaign and featured in 15 games, averaging 6.3 points per outing.
He provided “energy and defensive intensity” during his time with the team, but head coach Scott Roth has made the decision to move on.
“We’re grateful for Craig’s contributions to the team during his time with us,” Roth said.
“These decisions are never easy, but we believe this move is in the best interest of the organisation.”
“We wish him nothing but success in his next chapter.”
The JackJumpers emphasised that the decision to part ways with Sword is not a reflection of any “shortcoming” in his performance or character.
“He has been an exemplary teammate, contributing tirelessly both on and off the court,” the club said.
