Two new fires that ignited in the Ravenswood area overnight are under criminal investigation by Tasmania Police.
Multiple blazes broke out on Prossers Forest Road at around 6pm on Thursday night, in a similar location to where fires threatened homes just days ago.
Seven ground crews from brigades including Ravenswood, Rocherlea, Launceston and Prospect rushed to the scene, alongside three water-bombing aircraft.
Tasmania Police said firefighters managed to contain the blaze overnight.
“There was no threat to the community and no assets were impacted,” a spokesperson said.
“Tasmania Fire Service crews will remain in the area today to conduct backburning operations and members of the community can expect to see more smoke as a result.”
