Defibrillator among equipment allegedly stolen in Exton business burglary

A man has been charged after a business in Exton, in the Meander Valley, was broken into and equipment, including a defibrillator, was stolen.

Police say offenders entered the commercial property sometime between Friday, August 28 and Monday, August 31, damaging locks and stealing equipment.

Investigators have since recovered some of the stolen property.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning and charged with burglary, stealing and driving offences.

He is expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on November 11.

Tasmania Police said investigations into the incident were ongoing.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously,” a police spokesperson said.
