Deliberately lit fire at Ravenswood social housing unit in Launceston

Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire at a social housing unit complex at Ravenswood in Launceston’s northern suburbs this morning.

Tasmania Fire Service crews were called to the property on Warring Street shortly before 8:30am after reports of a fire inside one of the vacant units.

The blaze was contained and an investigation found it had been deliberately lit.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
