Former Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki has made a surprise visit to Tasmania, dropping in on a JackJumpers practice in Kingston on Monday!
The NBA legend, who is considered the greatest international player in NBA history and a 14-time All-Star, is currently in Australia with his family and took the opportunity to reunite with his longtime friend and former coach Scott Roth.
During his visit, Nowitzki spent an hour with the team at their practice session and shared his experience and wisdom with the players, who were said to be starstruck by the visit.
The meeting was also a special moment for Roth, who had the opportunity to introduce his squad to one of the game’s best ever players.

Nowitzki, who played for the Dallas Mavericks for 21 years, is set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in August – adding another accolade to his already impressive career.
