A manhunt has been launched for the rider of a red quad bike after an ‘incident’ in Tasmania’s north-west tonight.
Police say multiple officers are currently scouring the Penguin area in pursuit of the person following what was only described as an “evade incident”.

“Members of the community are asked not to be alarmed by the increased police presence,” police said.
The urged people not to approach the ATV or its rider if spotted, but to instead contact police on 131 444.
The circumstances surrounding the incident and whether they pose any danger remains unknown.
