A driver has been caught on dashcam blasting through a red traffic light at a Hobart intersection yesterday morning, narrowly avoiding a crash.
The video, which has been viewed over 25,000 times, was shared by Tasmania Police with the caption “What was this driver thinking…”

They say the driver, who travelled past a police vehicle on the Brooker Highway at Warwick Street, was intercepted and will receive a $181 infringement and 3 demerit points.
“The consequences could have been far worse,” they added.
