A driver has been pulled from their vehicle by a bystander after a single-vehicle crash on the East Derwent Highway.
The car left the wet road on a bend near Old Beach about 1pm on Wednesday.
One witness took to social media to say her friend pulled the driver from the vehicle before emergency services arrived.
Tasmania Police said officers were at the scene of the rollover and no serious injuries had been reported.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or slow down and anticipate delays until the scene is cleared,” police said.
The witness also criticised the behaviour of some passing drivers during the incident.
She said motorists were pulling onto the opposite side of the road to get around vehicles that had stopped to help.
“Very disappointing to see people not waiting,” she said.
“People need to learn patience.”
