A drunk learner driver from the Huon Valley has been nabbed while “driving erratically” in an unregistered car on the Midlands Highway this afternoon.
The ‘reckless’ 24-year-old Port Huon man was spotted driving ‘all over the road’ near Ross around 3:20pm on Tuesday.
Police stopped the man in Campbell Town following a 000 call where he was breath tested and found to be 2.64x the legal full licence limit with a breath analysis reading of 0.132%.
His vehicle had also been unregistered for over seven years.
He has since been charged with multiple drink driving and traffic offences and will appear in court at a later date.
