Offences from Party in the Paddock held in Carrick near Launceston over the weekend have been revealed this afternoon.
Crowds were ‘relatively well-behaved’ this year according to Police, with no arrests made, however two patrons were evicted for anti-social behaviour and minor property damage.
Over 1,500 breath tests were conducted, with 27 individuals, 9 of which were p-platers, found to be drink driving after the event.
The highest reading returned was 0.101, more than twice the legal limit. Two drivers were also found to have illicit drugs in their blood.
Acting Inspector Stuart Greenwood of Northern Road Policing Services stated that this outcome is a reminder that alcohol can remain in the body for hours after consumption.
He emphasised that no one should get behind the wheel if they think they might be over the limit or if they have taken drugs, even if it is the next day.

The first edition of the Paddock since COVID, this weekend’s event at Carrick south of Launceston has been called the ‘best yet’ by organisers.
The festival is being headlined by US rapper Yung Gravy and Kiwi pop sensation Benee, with The Presets and the Vengaboys also on the lineup.
Saturday: Tassie p-plater caught speeding near festival
A teenage Tassie festival goer has lost his license after speeding on the road to Party in the Paddock.
The 17-year-old male from Legana was snapped in his white hilux around 3:30pm doing 118km/h in an 80km/h on Oaks Road at Carrick.
A P1 holder, the teen has been fined $543 and lost 5 demerit points.
Police say the vehicle was also not displaying P plates as required.
“Being a provisional driver who normally only hold 4 demerit points, he is also now subject to a loss of licence.”
“Tasmania Police Service would like to remind motorists to slow down and obey all speed limits, including any speed restrictions regarding their licence.”

Thousands of young Tassie festival-goers have been left to swelter in their cars after the entry line to the Party in the Paddock music festival ground to a halt.
Cars are stretched back for kilometres as over 15,000 Tasmanians flock to the centre of the state.
One attendee told Pulse she has been queued up on Oaks Road for the last 3 hours and ‘still has another half an hour to go’ before reaching the entry gate.
“Worst experience ever,” she said.
Another festivalgoer spoken to by Pulse said he waited in the queue for over three hours just to get in, calling the experience so far ‘horrible’.
