An elderly woman has been hospitalised after a teen allegedly threw a soft drink can off the top floor of a car park building in Hobart CBD this afternoon.
Police say the 13-year-old was part of a group that allegedly threw objects from height off the Argyle Street Carpark into Wellington Walk, leaving the 76-year-old woman in hospital with a head injury and undergoing scans.
“It will be alleged a 13-year-old has thrown a full can of soft drink off the top floor of the car park which has hit a 76-year-old woman on the head as she was walking in Wellington Walk,” Police say.
The youth has been arrested, charged with assault and will be proceeded against under the Youth Justice Act.
