A 54-year-old man from Midway Point has been charged with firearms offences after a police search of his Bay Road property this week.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was charged with several offences relating to firearms possession to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court.

During the search, police say they seized a number of items – including firearms and explosive devices.
It is not yet known how many firearms were seized or what type of explosive devices were found.
Tasmania Police have not released any further details about the operation or the charges against the man, but have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
