A family on a camping trip in Tasmania made a shocking discovery when they stumbled upon a two-meter-long dead Great White shark near the mouth of the Buxton River.
Andrew Hughes and his family were in the lagoon near the river when they spotted the white object floating upside down.
The family, fascinated by their discovery, flipped over the shark to reveal its toothy grin.
In the name of science, the family brought the shark to the shore and discovered it had a tracker in its back and a tag from the NSW Government.
Mr. Hughes contacted the Tasmanian whales hotline and the organization will be contacting NSW authorities and the CSIRO to gather more information about the shark.
