Fire crews have rushed to extinguish a lithium battery fire at the Beam e-scooter warehouse in Cambridge this evening.
Firefighters from Cambridge, Clarence, Hobart and Seven Mile Beach brigades responded to reports of a structure fire at the Beam Scooters premises on Cambridge Park Drive.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a small fire involving lithium batteries burning at the rear of the building.
The swift response from firefighters ensured the blaze was quickly contained and extinguished before it could spread to other parts of the facility.

Lithium battery fires pose particular challenges for emergency responders due to their intense heat and the potential to reignite even after appearing extinguished.
Beam operates electric scooter sharing services across the Hobart CBD, with the Cambridge facility serving as a maintenance and charging hub for their fleet.
