A 27-year-old Waverly man has been arrested after authorities seized a range of firearms and drugs while responding to a family violence incident in Tasmania’s north yesterday afternoon.
The arrest was made after police responded to a complaint of family violence, with a search of his property uncovering a shortened pump action shotgun, a loaded semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, MDMA, methylamphetamine, prescription medications and approximately $5,000 in cash.

The suspect has been charged with multiple offences, including breaching a family violence order, trafficking and firearms-related crimes.
He was scheduled to appear in court today.
