Firefighters are currently battling a large bushfire near Inglewood Road in Stonehenge this evening.
The fire, which has been burning for some time, earlier prompted a ‘stay informed’ warning to nearby residents.
The TFS say there is no immediate threat to the community, however the blaze has spread over approximately 110 hectares and is producing significant amounts of smoke.
This afternoon the fire caused power outages for 666 customers in nearby areas, including Baden, Colebrook, Jericho, Levendale, Mount Seymour, Oatlands, Parattah, Rhyndaston, Runnymede, Stonehenge, Stonor, Swanston, Tiberias, Tunnack, Whitefoord and Woodsdale.

The outage has since been resolved, with power restored to most customers at 5:30 PM.
Residents in the affected areas were advised to monitor conditions closely and to check their bushfire plans if they had one.
“Monitor conditions, and if they get more dangerous, and you are not well prepared, plan to go to a safer place.”
Conditions are expected to improve this evening.
