Firefighters called to blaze engulfing unit on Hobart’s eastern shore

Emergency services are responding to a structure fire at a residential unit on Hobart’s eastern shore.

Flames were seen engulfing the Howrah property on Clifford Court just before 9pm on Tuesday.

“Tasmania Fire Service crews are attending a house fire which was going well on arrival,” a spokesperson told Pulse.

Witnesses say the fire is still active and yet to be brought under control.

Several firefighting crews have been called in to battle the flames.
