Firefighters find Bellerive building ‘heavily smoke logged’ after reports of blaze

Firefighters have been called to a Bellerive business following reports a structure fire this afternoon.

Tasmania Fire Service crews from Rokeby, Clarence and Hobart arrived at the scene on Cambridge Road shortly after 3:30pm on Wednesday.

The TFS say crews arrived to find the lower floor of a two-story building “heavily smoke logged”.

The road has been partially blocked while firefighters clear the scene.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
