Tassie Firefighters have saved a beloved pet dog who fell into a mineshaft near Pipers River yesterday!
The Tasmania Fire Service say Boris, a Staffordshire bull terrier, was out for a run when he fell into the deep hole on Sunday.

Firefighter Elizabeth was lowered into the mineshaft to secure Boris in a harness before being lifted out to safety.
They say despite the terrifying situation, Boris remained relatively calm throughout the rescue – though he did ‘bark his head off’ trying to get someone’s attention.
