A former Tasmanian beauty queen and Labor MP has been accused of punching her partner in the face and verbally abusing him for over a decade.
Kathryn Isobel Hay appeared in court on charges of allegedly emotionally abusing and intimidating her ex-husband across an 11-year period on Tuesday.

Hay pleaded not guilty to the charge and instead raised allegations that she was the victim of domestic violence.
Her lawyer said Hay had previously filed statements detailing her own abuse to the Department of Justice family violence co-ordination arm Safe at Home and Hobart Police.
The matter will return to court on October 17.
