Southern Tasmania is set to experience freezing temperatures as a high pressure system moves over the state!
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of icy conditions and near-zero temperatures, with frost expected on Tuesday morning.
The City of Hobart has issued a pre-emptive closure of Pinnacle Road at the Springs due to forecast ice overnight.
The top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington will see a minimum temperature of -1C, while the Upper Derwent Valley, Midlands, and Central Plateau districts will experience temperatures as low as zero degrees.

The south-east district may also see patches of fog in the morning.
Despite the cold start, temperatures are expected to warm up during the day, reaching between 16-21 degrees Celsius.
The high pressure system is set to move over southern Tasmania on Monday and into Tuesday, with a low developing to the northeast of Tasmania on Wednesday.
By Thursday, a ridge of high pressure will extend over the region as the low moves over the Tasman Sea.
