A large search is currently underway in Tasmania’s North after two men, one reportedly armed with a firearm, stole a vehicle from Devonport this afternoon.
Police say officers and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter have been deployed in the search for the stolen vehicle with Victorian number plates.

The black 2003 Mazda MX5 with white wheels was last seen in the area of Smith and Others Road near Sassafras around an hour ago.
The Mazda was stolen from Victoria Street in Devonport around 3:20pm.
Anyone who has seen the vehicle is asked not to approach it and to call police immediately.
