Hobart-born Princess Mary of Denmark has made a grand entrance to the Pacific ahead of a rapid-fire tour of her homeland Australia.
The Danish Royal touched down in Vanuatu on Monday, where she will visit crisis response areas that were ravaged by two cyclones and two earthquakes just last month.
During her tour, Princess Mary will turn the spotlight on the impact of climate change in the region, with a particular emphasis on sustainability initiatives before returning to Australia in an official capacity for the first time in a decade.
Her Australian itinerary includes a series of meetings with Danish representatives who are heavily invested in Australia’s “green transition”, as well as visits to Danish-led projects related to sustainability.
