A Hobart couple couldn’t believe their luck when they won a staggering $775,000 TattsLotto division one prize on April Fool’s Day!
The fortunate duo initially thought they were victims of a prank, but their disbelief turned into happiness when the win was confirmed.
They held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4351, held on Saturday, 1 April 2023, taking home a total prize of $775,265.76.
The winning man received a call from an official at The Lott while he was driving, entirely unaware of his newfound fortune.
“I’ve received the shock of my life!” he laughed, adding that he and his father-in-law initially thought someone was playing a prank on them due to the date of the draw.
With a substantial $775,000 set to be deposited into their bank account, the overjoyed couple plans to use the windfall to pay off their house mortgage, book a holiday and buy a new boat.
