Hundreds of Hobart partygoers donned their best Shrek-inspired costumes and descended on the city for a ‘Shrek Rave’ at Altar last night.
Part of the ‘Aussie Swamp Tour’, the event promised Shrek-themed music, a balloon wall for photos, free green glow sticks, fairy floss, and glitter bars.

Despite the Shrek movie being released over two decades ago, the rave version of the beloved fairy tale proved to be just as popular as ever.
The crowd was a sea of green, with attendees sporting everything from full-on Shrek costumes to simple green accessories.
Punters were also treated to a range of ‘Shrek-themed drinks’, including Shrek Juice, Donkey Drank and Farquaad Fizz.
