A 13-year-old boy has been left with significant head and facial injuries after he was hit by a car in Rosetta this afternoon.
Police say a 65-year-old woman was behind the wheel of that car that hit the teenager, who is currently receiving treatment for his injuries at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

They say the boy was reportedly crossing the road near the Brooker Highway entrance when he was struck by the vehicle.
Initial investigations suggest speed and drugs/alcohol were not factors in the crash.
