The City of Hobart are hosting a ‘Street to Stage’ fundraising show this weekend for talented local homeless musicians to show off their skills.
All funds raised on Saturday will go to Health with Dignity, enabling Hobartians in extreme need to access GP appointments for free.
The event, running at Simple Cider on Elizabeth Street between 1 and 5 PM, is open to musicians of all types, from bands to buskers, soloists, rappers, spoken word, improv, and instrumental artists.
Anyone with experience of homelessness or severe housing stress is encouraged to apply.

Prizes up for grabs include a day of recording at Mona’s Frying Pan studios, and vouchers from Modern Musician Hobart.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of experts including representatives Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds and representatives from Edge Radio, Brain Drain PR & Label Management and record labels Rough Skies Records and Rice is Nice Records.
