A fire that broke out in a busy Hobart nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning has left behind $15,000 worth of damages.
Cargo was closed shortly after 1am this morning following the incident, with partygoers quickly evacuated from the club.

The Tasmania Fire Service told Pulse one of the club’s patrons ‘tried to put the fire out with an alcoholic drink’, which they said was ‘less than ideal’.
Cargo remains closed today following the blaze, which was deemed accidental due to an electrical fault.
“Due to maintenance, we will be closed today,” the club wrote online.
They hope to be “back & running” on Wednesday.
