Hobart’s favourite Friday night street food event is set to make a highly-anticipated return to the city for its eighth season running this Friday.

Street Eats @ Franko will kick off on December 1 with a wide array of 18 rotating street food vendors, all ready to help you bid farewell to the workweek with tasty treats at Franklin Square.

Organiser Madi Peattie says the city’s appetite for Franko is “greater than ever” and will follow off the back of the “enormous season warm up” that was the Diwali Festival of Lights earlier this month.

“This year’s lineup has something for everyone with big sounds, big bands and loads of music to get you moving,” Peattie said.

Returning fan-favourites include Stick n’ Grill, Kaki Lima, Festival Martabak, Diemen Grill, and Kiltro Street Food, alongside several new additions including Tummy Thai, Salsa Sol and Chilling Dory.

The Sheyana Band with Wahbash Avenue will play this Friday, with Eurelia with The Wild Roses and a funky Christmas special to feature later in December.
