EARLIER: Hobart’s Parliament House has been placed on lockdown and specialist resources called in following an ‘isolated incident’ this afternoon.
According to police, officers were called in “as a precaution” after an unattended bag was discovered outside the front entrance.
“There have been no threats in relation to the matter,” a spokesperson told Pulse.
Authorities have requested that the public steer clear of the immediate area until the bag is safely cleared.
