Traffic on Hobart’s Southern outlet has come to a standstill after a car burst into flames this afternoon.
Witnesses reported seeing a person fleeing the burning vehicle following the incident around 3:20pm on Saturday.

Northbound traffic remains blocked as flames and black smoke cover the highway.
Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze.
