Hundreds of Tasmanians have come together for a unique car park party in the Launceston city centre over the weekend, organised by local bar Reggie.

The music event was headlined by Australian DJ duo Cosmo’s Midnight and electronic artist Little Fritter, supported by local acts including Launceston’s Chloe Sumner and Liam Wood.

Luke Tucker, a part-owner of Reggie, said the city had been crying out for an event like this and they were proud to have been able to deliver it.

“It was a huge success and was something that the community in Launceston had been wanting for a while,” he told Pulse.

“We had about 700 people come through for the event. ”

“We are hoping to do more events like this, we are just waiting to speak with the landowners and other nearby stakeholders for the outcome.”
