Over $211,000 has been raised to support Hobart’s homeless as part of the annual Hobart City Mission ‘Sleep Rough’ challenge.
Hundreds of people from across Southern Tasmania spent last night in sleeping bags on the floor of PW1 in Hobart, raising funds for emergency shelter, food & support for people facing homelessness.
“With a chronic shortage of appropriate housing, and over 4500 people currently on the Housing Register, homelessness in our community is at crisis point,” said a Hobart City Mission spokesperson.
Hobart’s C3 Church is the leading fund-raising team, with over $22,000 in donations.

The Bartel Family are sitting at second place with $15,415.
