Josh Bannan has claimed the Tasmania JackJumpers NBL26 Most Valuable Player award after a record-breaking debut season with the club.
The young gun dominated the stat sheets across his first campaign, leading the team in points scored with 510 and rebounds with 316. He also finished third in assists with 76.
Bannan broke the club’s single-season scoring record and achieved 14 double-double performances, setting a new JackJumpers benchmark.
“We knew Bannan had talent before we signed him, and he’s just gone from strength to strength under our coaches,” General Manager of Operations Darren Smith said.

“His work-rate is incredible, with more than 1,000 minutes of court time this season.”
Fellow debutant Nick Marshall also enjoyed a standout night at the Hobart gala event tonight, claiming both the Coaches’ Award and Players’ Player Award.

“It takes a really special someone to win the top votes from the players and the coaches too, and Marshall certainly is something special,” the club said.
Team captain Will Magnay took home the Defensive Player of the Year Award, while fan favourite Majok Deng secured the supporters’ vote for the second consecutive year.
Outgoing CEO Christine Finnegan received the Spirit of the JackJumpers award in recognition of her extraordinary contribution over five seasons with the club.
