A King Island farmer has been left astonished after finding a newborn calf with a mark on its head that resembles the shape of Tasmania.
Anita Poulsen discovered the unique mark when she went to check on the Hereford and Angus cross calf last Friday.
Poulsen shared pictures of the calf, named ‘Tassie’, with her friends at a pub who encouraged her to send the photos to Tasmanian Country.
While there are often interesting marks on calves, Poulsen said she had never seen one resembling a state before.

The mother cow also has a mark resembling Flinders Island above her eye.
