A King Island grandfather has won nearly $650,000 in TattsLotto, turning what he described as a mundane Monday into something far more memorable.
The man, who has not been named, held one of 10 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4705.
He had no idea about the win until an official from The Lott called him this morning.
“You’re joking! I’ve won $649,000?” he said when told of his windfall.
“I was having a mundane Monday morning and this has just made my day.”

“I had no idea about the win. I kept thinking, ‘Who is calling me?’.”
The grandfather said he has been playing TattsLotto on and off since it first started.
“Thank you very much. It will be a nice thing to look forward to,” he said.
He plans to share the money with his children, who are spread across Australia.
“I’ll be giving some of the prize to my kids,” he said.

“I’ll give them a call today and share the good news.”
His winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased through The Lott app.
The winning numbers in draw 4705 were 9, 11, 2, 1, 13 and 20, with supplementary numbers 28 and 45.
Of the 10 division one winners nationally, three were in Victoria, three in Western Australia, two in New South Wales, one in the ACT and one in Tasmania.
