A Latrobe woman who won $400,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw says she initially felt “sick” upon discovering her windfall.
The Tasmanian shared the Division One prize with 12 other winners across the country, each taking home over $400,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Latrobe Newsagency, where the woman said she has been playing the lottery for “years and years”.
“At first, I just felt sick. I couldn’t comprehend what had happened,” she said.
“I’ve used these numbers once upon a time. I’ll have to save these lucky numbers now.”
The woman said she has no immediate plans for the money and will take some time to “think about it”, having already waited days to claim her prize.
“I discovered it the night of the draw, but I’ve used a few days to ponder,” she said.
Latrobe Newsagency manager Jags Kumar said he is thrilled to have sold a Division One winning ticket to a local couple.
“It’s such great news! We’re really happy to have sold a major winning entry to a local husband and wife,” he said.
“This is our first time selling a division one winning entry since taking over ownership of the outlet about two and a half years ago.”
