Launceston’s Magistrates Court building has been closed until Wednesday afternoon after plumbing problems forced the water supply to be cut off.
The issue has also left the building’s fire sprinkler system out of action.

The court announced the temporary closure on Monday, saying the building needed to shut so repairs could be carried out.
It will stay closed until 5pm on Wednesday, with the court saying cases will be heard remotely wherever possible in the meantime.
People with matters listed during the closure are asked to contact the Launceston registry to confirm arrangements.
