A Launceston motorcyclist has died after a serious crash in the north of the city this evening.
Police say the 31-year-old man passed away on Saturday night following the incident on Doyne Street in Invermay.
Investigations into the cause of the crash, which occurred around 5 pm, are still ongoing and are expected to take several days to complete.
Updated 2pm, Sunday 3 December: Police suspect that excessive speed and risky behaviour played a role in the crash, but say it is unclear whether the driver or the motorcyclist was responsible.
