A Launceston teenager has been charged over an alleged oil dumping spree at one of the city’s busiest intersections.
Tasmania Police this week arrested the 18-year-old at a Ravenswood address as part of an ongoing investigation by Taskforce Raven into the repeated dumping at the corner of York and Bathurst streets.
The charges relate to the most recent alleged incident on May 8.
He has been charged with committing a nuisance, unapproved disposal of general waste and littering.

The teenager is due to appear in court at a later date.
“Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in providing information in relation to these incidents,” a spokesperson said.

Investigators are now urging anyone who knows of similar alleged offending to come forward.
Information can be passed on to Tasmania Police on 131 444 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
