Over a thousand homes across Hobart have lost power tonight, with a lightning storm possibly to blame – according to TasNetworks. 🔌🌩
The outage, which is affecting 1136 households and businesses in Lenah Valley, Moonah, Mount Stuart, New Town and West Moonah, occurred only minutes ago, with TasNetworks assuring people their crews are investigating. ⚡️

Eyewitnesses alledge a ‘number’ of power poles were seen sparking in the area, and it is understood the storm also took television transmissions off the air momentarily across Greater Hobart.
