The Tasmanian man accused of murdering 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell has been told he must enter a plea at his next court appearance.
Christopher Mark Jordan, 36, appeared via video link from Risdon Prison in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday, marking his fourth appearance since being charged.
The Scottsdale man’s Legal Aid lawyer, Hannah Goss, requested a further adjournment and said Jordan could not enter a plea as a “key piece of disclosure” was missing.
The police prosecution agreed that the disclosure was missing and said it would be provided soon.
Jordan is facing four charges, including murder, failure to comply with ammunition storage requirements, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited import.
The case has been adjourned to 9:15am on January 31, 2024, at which time Jordan is expected to enter his plea.
Shyanne-Lee’s remains were discovered in bushland in Nabowla, west of Scottsdale, three months after her disappearance in April.
