The man accused of murdering 14-year-old Tasmanian teenager Shyanne-Lee Tatnell has not yet entered a plea, nearly four months after his arrest.
Scottsdale man Christopher Mark Jordan appeared before the Launceston Magistrates Court via video link on Wednesday to face charges related to the alleged death of the young girl.
Tatnell’s remains were discovered in bushland at Nabowla on July 26, almost three months after she was last seen crossing the North Esk River on the Henry Street bridge in Launceston on April 30.
Jordan, who has made multiple court appearances since his arrest, refrained from entering a plea with his lawyer instead requesting a further adjournment.
In addition to murder, Jordan is also facing charges for failing to comply with prescribed storage of ammunition requirements, possessing a controlled plant or its products and possessing a prohibited import.
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again in December.
