Police are investigating an armed robbery at a commercial business in the Launceston suburb of Mowbray this morning after a man threatened staff with a pocket knife before fleeing with stolen products.
Officers were called to the business on Vermont Road on Monday morning.
Nobody was physically injured during the incident.
The man reportedly left the business on foot shortly after 11am, heading in the direction of Pleasant Street.
He was described as being around 180 centimetres tall with a tattooed right sleeve and a beard.
He was wearing a red beanie, navy or black trackpants and white sneakers while carrying an Adidas satchel.
