Man arrested after alleged North Hobart restaurant robbery with syringe

A man has been arrested after allegedly holding up a North Hobart restaurant with a syringe.

Tasmania Police said the 37-year-old entered the restaurant about 2:25pm on Monday afternoon.

Once inside, police say he allegedly demanded money.

“Police attended quickly and the man was arrested a short time later,” a spokesperson said.

“No physical injuries were reported in the incident.”

No charges have been laid.
