A man in Tasmania’s North-West has been arrested today after allegedly throwing food and verbally abusing staff at the Banjos Burnie bakery.
Police say the man then approached a staff member and ‘assaulted them’, before fleeing with money he stole from the till.
The man has been charged and detained in custody to appear in court.
Members of the public came to the man's aid before police arrived
