A man was arrested in the carpark of a Kings Meadows shopping centre this afternoon in a dramatic take-down, as bystanders watched on.
Police swarmed the Meadow Mews carpark around 12:30pm on Tuesday, taking the alleged offender into custody.

Witnesses described the incident as chaotic and said they saw a large number of officers involved in the arrest.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said the man was arrested as part of a “planned operation”.
“Members of the public are thanked for their patience and understanding while the arrest took place,” the spokesperson said.
“More information will be released when available.”
